Provide safe access to soap, water, and towels. Have some alcohol gel available. Encourage and help kids wash their hands before and after eating, after going to the bathroom, and after coming in from outside play. Provide tissues for coughs and sneezes and show them how to use them instead of their hands or clothing. Be sure you wash your hands and let the children see you doing it.

Kids learn what they see. The big thing is handwashing! If you wash your hands frequently, they will too.
