First, there's no such thing as having a period while pregnant. THere IS a such thing as bleeding while pregnant. Those are 2 totally different things. A period is losing the lining of your uterus, you don't shed the lining while pregnant. Definitely have your friend go to the doc & be checked out. Just wanted to clarify that you cannot have a period while pregnant. Any bleeding should definitely be reported to the doc or midwife.

I had mine for several months during my pregnancy and actually didn't think that I was pregnant! I took 2 pregnancy tests but because I was preggers with twins my hormone levels were way off and they both came back negative. It actually took a blood test to confirm that I was, in fact, pregnant!!
It is very normal and as long as it seems like a normal period and her doctor isn't concerned, she should be OK!!
Congrats!!

I've heard that it's fairly common for women to continue having her period for the first few months of pregnancy. I don't know about six months, though...
As long as she's going to the doctor on a regular basis throughout her pregnancy, she should be fine.

Sounds like your friend needs to go to the doctor. Something could be really wrong with her pregnancy or she isn't really pregnant.
