Yesterday I used the bathroom(peed) and I saw blood in the toilet. Then I went to the bathroom and it didn't look like the first time. Also three days before that I had brown stuff in my underwear (not poopy :)) Between the day I had brown stuff and the day I saw blood nothing happened. Nothing happened today either! Im 13

I think you may have. You need to talk to your mom or another close adult. Not everyone has the same experience the first time they have their period. Some have one and not have another for several months until they become regular and some people start and actually go for the entire seven days before they stop menstruating. You are old enough to have started. Talk to your mom, you do not want to be at school and Have someone else show your that you have by the stains on your pants!! This is a natural thing and is not ment to be embarrasing, every women goes through it and we all understand because we have been there too.

FIRST PERIODS ARE NEVER NORMAL PERIODS. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU DID HAVE YOUR FIRST PERIOD TO ME. MY FIRST WAS LIKE THAT. THE BROWN WILL SOMETIMES COME AT THE BEGINNING OR THE END. MOST PERIODS RUN FROM 4 TO 7 DAYS AND THAT IS NORMAL. SOMETIMES THE FLOW IS HEAVIER OR CAN BE SO LIGHT THAT IT APPEARS AS A SPOT ON YOUR PANTIES. YES, I WOULD THINK YOU HAD YOUR FIRST ONE. SOME GIRLS HAVE UNUSUAL PERIODS FOR A WHILE BUT THAT CAN BE NORMAL TOO BECAUSE YOUR BODY IS CHANGING AND IS ADJUSTING TO THE NEW WOMAN INSIDE. WE OVULATE EVERY 21 DAYS. THAT MEANS FROM THE LAST DAY OF YOUR PERIOD COUNT THE DAYS ON THE CALENDAR TO EQUAL TO 21 DAYS AND IT SHOULD START AGAIN ON THAT DAY OR PRETTY CLOSE TO IT. IF YOU ARE NOT HAVING A NORMAL PERIOD YET THEN GIVE IT TIME YOUR BODY HAS NO ADJUSTED YET. REMEMBER TO BE VERY CAREFUL AND DO NOT HAVE SEX BECAUSE NOW YOU CAN GET PREGNANT. I DON'T THINK YOUR BODY IS READY FOR THAT YET EITHER. A PREGNANCY CAN BE THE WORSE THING TO HAPPEN WHEN YOUR BODY IS NOT READY FOR IT.
CONSULT WITH A NURSE AT PLANNED PARENTHOOD OR THE SCHOOL, EITHER ONE WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO EXPLAIN AND HELP YOU.

Well I'm no expert, but I'd have to say yes. Talk to your mom or another adult female you feel comfortable with. Because if it was not a period 13 year old girls shouldn't have any abnormal bleeding like that.

That sounds like a first period to me! Talk about it with your mom or another woman in your life you trust.

probably then. it will only last between 4-7 days. write it down and wait for next month. If you have it again in about 28 days then that was your first.

Mine started just like that years ago. next time it might be the same, or it might be really heavy. Get ready for it by getting pads or tampons, and also I calendar to right down when you start each month. Good luck!

ok....... it probably was ur period. I got mine an year ago and it was the same way. It's not regular cos it's just starting. IT takes 5 years for an average teen's period to adjust. Keep observing.
