A collective soul is where all ideas are stored and memories ,almost like the akashic records but a little closer to us humans .People can gain access to the collective soul unconciously or when not even trying which is why it often seems that many people from different areas of the world will come up with the same idea at the same time .
I think ?!

Collective Soul are an alternative rock/post-grunge band from Stockbridge, Georgia, USA. Throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s they have enjoyed major commercial popularity on alternative rock and mainstream rock radio. They became one of the most successful rock bands of the 1990s.
They have composed hook-laden lush melodies on top of heavy fluent guitar riffs reminiscent of classic rock and hard rock artists from the 70s and 80s. Some of their main influences are Elvis Presley, Elton John, The Cars and The Beatles. Some have called Collective Soul a Christian rock band, a styling the band has repeatedly denied. They do, however, admit that their lyrics are often spiritual in nature.

As assumption that there are certain universal values common to all human beings by virtue of the fact that we all have a human soul and a spiritual soul. Universal values are aspects of consciousness, or are soul qualities that emanate from our essence. They fo not manifest consistently because they are universal and most often we are personal.
In contradiction of universal values, are cultural values of people in a society or culture have in common. They are not typically universal nor personal, but collective.
They are usually unconscious and therefore influence people without them being aware of it. such as success as a measure of an individual’s worth. So even if we have no personal tendency that reflects this cultural value, our subconscious is affected by it. We might feel that it is a preferred value, or that if we have conflicting values to this that there might be something wrong with us. It can undermine our efforts in other directions.
C.Jung's collective unconsciousness is in a sense a more "modern", and definitive version, if you will, of the collective soul.

Many New Age theories support the idea that we are all one consiousness, connected on higher levels of existence. On psychedelic drugs or states of meditation, we can tap into this collective mind...some people report ESP experiences...others claim to astral travel out of their bodies and meld with the soul of another. There is evidence out there that these things are possible.

I think a collective soul is like soulmates. There maybe about 20. Its like when you have a dream and know people but don't know them in the physical. Sometimes you may dream about these people and see them in the physical and thats when things get weird

I have not heard of the collective soul. I have heard of Carl Jung's theory of the collective unconscious, wherein all thoughts, ideas, symbolism etc is accessible to ALL.
