In my past question, someone said they made an apointment. Do you really have to make one or can you just like walk into Macy's and ask? And it's free right, because I'm trying to save money on my homecoming stuff. My friend offered to do my make up, but she's kind of pale and her make up goes better with her skintone and not mine, which is more light tan/olive colored.

Any suggestion of what make up counter to go to or what to expect as in service or questions when I'm there.

Yeah, so I deffinitely don't actually want to pay. I think I'll just do my make up myself and just get like 15$ of new make up at Target or something.

A lot of makeup counters will help you test out some products for free, but not to do ALL of your makeup. Usually they dont charge you, but you have to buy a minimum $ amount of makeup. Usually its $20-$30. Its not that bad if you think about it because you are paying for some of the makeup they use on you, they show you how to use it/apply it, and you get to keep it.
If you were to go to a salon or something they would charge the same, but you dont get to keep any of it.

I would test different counters at your mall and see what colors look best on you ahead of time (think about a weekk). When you find something you like, ask if you can schedule an appointment. Normally when they do this, they WILL require that you purchase something - so get a cute lipgloss or something that you can re-apply yourself during your fun night.

Best of luck!

You can go into most major department stores and get a makeover for free. The key is to look around at all the makeup ladies and find someone's makeup that you really like. Most women will do your makeup how they do their own makeup. So if you find a woman who has her makeup on like a clown, thats probably how she will do yours.

Yea just walk in to Macy's have a seat and someone will help you. I don't think there is a price. My mom also got a free one at Sephora.
