I remember this from science class... They only gave 5 things though.
1: organism posesses higher level of thinking (such as knowing right from wrong)
2: organism reproduces
3: organism respires
4: organism consumes and makes waste
5: organism has some kind of water content
I don't think there are any acceptions to those rules... If there are though, I apologize in advance.
