if you have too many choices, then you tend to get stressed out and wonder if you made the right choice. Just like psychologists say, when you give children too many cereals to choose from, they can become very stressed out and unhappy. Therefore, from my point of view, giving them no choices at all would certainly make them happy.
THIS IS MY HYPOTHESIS AND OUT OF THIS I WANT TO KNO WHAT IS THE "CONTROL GROUP" FROM THE HYPOTHESIS ABOVE THANK YOU

You would have to prove that 1. Children get stressed out in having too much cereal to chose from. 2. That having too much to choose from makes them unhappy 3. They would be happy not choosing.
the control group would be the number of students chosen from the universe that will give you the information.

Most psychology researchers have a very difficult time quantifying "happiness" and being able to say that one person is happier than another based solely on the subject's own answer to the question "how happy are you?"
For a study like yours, I would do three sessions with the same groups of people. In one session they would be offered a number of choices, in another session only two choices and in the third, no choices. Then you are back to the question of how to determine how happy they are with each session.
