Well... our literature is worth noticing, a lot of Nobel prizes (try poetry of Miłosz and Szymborska, for instance). Zamenhoff - esperanto, Sklodowska - chemistry, Chopin - music...

Well there are these:
1. Submarine with screen doors
2. A book on how to Read
3. A waterproof towel
4. Glow-in-the-Dark sunglasses
5. A dictionary with an index
6. Helicopter with ejection seats.
But, assuming you're being serious, I suppose Valium (DR. LEO H. STERNBACH) would be in the running.
But click on the second link and make your own choice.
Personally, although it was a discovery, rather than an invention, I'd go with this one:
"Curie-Sklodowska, Maria (1867-1934), famous physicist, twice a winner of the Nobel Prize in 1903 and in 1911. Together with her husband Pierre Curie she discovered radioactive polonium and radium in 1898. Maria Sklodowska-Curie was the first woman awarded the Nobel Prize for physics; she helped to establish the Radium Institute in Warsaw in 1932. Her daughter, Irene, also received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1935."

actualy i am to lazy to look for polish inventions but polish scientists invented much stuff but not in poland. No cash so they went to USA or other coutries who gave them cash to invent stuff.
Many "brains" from poland just go away from here cause no cash to do anything that's sad true.

Frederick Chopin, regardless of where he lived most of his life. His music counts as an invention in my book and some fine music at that.
