He's doing all this for a reason. What is going on at home ? Is Dad around ? Problems with other kids at school ? Something is troubling this boy and you need to find out what it is and help fix that. Everything else will fall into place afterwards. As his aunt you can try and get him to confide in you.

I went through the same phase when I was 14. A lot of my friends did. I skipped school and did drugs all the time It is very common at that age. I knew so many people who were the same way. That age right when they begin high school they go wild an rebel. If you are too strict and don't let him do anything, he'll just sneak out at night and be gone all the time. Discipline him but don't restrict him from things he likes to do. I grew out of it eventually. Now I am 20 years old and I'm in the US Navy active duty serving my country.

Often children feel they are anonymous on the Internet, so they will try out swearing or acting like someone else because they think they can get away with it. It is critical to take the time to talk to your children about netiquette. Netiquette is basically the same rules of behavior they use at school. Installing filtering software can also be a good idea, but it usually filters what comes into your computer, not out. Monitoring your children online and communicating with them is the most important thing you can do. This is not only for your protection but also for their protection against predators

Total Lockdown.

No spare time on his own; he should be taken to school, checked on in his classes regularly & picked up after school, by family.
Talk to his principle; they'll probably co-operate in allowing you entrance to the school to verify his presence where & when he should be.
No after-school athletic activities, no movies, no CDs, no video games, no hanging out at the mall/whatever with friends, etc. Nothing but homework.
These privileges should only be restored after a minimum of two consecutive improved report cards. And should be cut back, drasticly if necessary, if they back slide.

This may sound harsh, but are you raising a citizen, or a criminal? Reward the behavior you desire, punish the behavior you don't.

There is a reason that he is behaving this way...although neither you or he may dnow what it is. First, avoid recognizing the bad behavior, spend some quality time with him and find something POSITIVE about him to bring up around others. There really is something positive. As the adult in this, you MUST find it because , what he is doing receives positive feedback, from his friends.

SOunds like he needs to be beat! When you let the children disrespect as a young child they will proceed with this action when they are older.
Besides there is a verse in the bible that says
spare the rod you will spoil the child.
Good Luck!!!
