Fierce snake or Inland taipan is the most venomous snake in Australia, arguably in the world. But they are very rarely encountered. Most Australian snakebite deaths (about half) are associated with brown snakes.

From what I remember when I went to Australia Zoo, the deadliest snake in Oz is the Brown Snake. I also think it is the deadliest in the world too.
Actually I am wrong it is the Fierce Snake officially, but the Brown Snake comes pretty close.

inland typan has the most toxic venom of any snake in austrailia but i belive the common brown snake kills way more people every year.
so if you want deadlyest in austrailia i would say the common brown.
the deadlyest snake in the world would be the saw scaled viper witch has killed far more peole than any other species.
