Why would you buy your gas there if your a white person or even an American and hated by this racist? As of this day forward I will never spend one penny in a Citgo station.

I'm not sure if he said this or not, but if he did, he is right. America is involved in so much of the corruptness that happens in South America and all over the world. We literally steal and kill for whatever we want and most Americans live there happy little lives and don't even know about it. He is right, whether you know the facts or not.

(I'm an American and the only way I know as much as I do about International relations is because politics is my life. BA History & BA Political Science & currently working on a 3rd degree).

Read the speech text again. He is not against US population, he is against US domination of the world. His tone was wrong, but didn't call Americans devil. He called George Bush devil. And I think you are reading too much between the lines.

The way he spoke yes he could. But the way he spoke and since he spoke in UN, I never thought he would.

The issue is not Citgo or any other Venezuelan corporate, but its the perception of Venezula or even South America towards Americans and particularly the president.

What US is trying to do in middle east, perhaps with exception of Afganistan, is it its business - war in Iraq or promoting democracy in Mid East? It is the function of UN. But the UN is powerless without the biggest superpower in the world. And it is the big bureaucratic organization which lets leaders walk in and give speeches. Does it provide enough platform to bring solidarity or equality to the world? That's highly debatable.

I have known about Chavez and I have been boycotting Citgo for a long time now because of a mass email that went out. I hope everyone will do the same.

If we had Citgo had stations in my neck of the woods i might. I lived in Venezuela in 1997 and for a era in 1999. Of my closest dozen pals in user-friendly terms 2 nevertheless stay in Venezuela. the rest have moved to North u.s. or Europe to flee Chavez.

Chavez and four other countries in South and Central America have these opinions, based on America's meddling in their countries, with a negative outcome. Read the history.

What we really should do to piss off the oil barons is stop buying gas from anyone! How stupid would they look then, they never thought we would have the 'nads to go without our precious gas sucking machines for any measurable length of time!

It doesn't matter where you buy it from silly, it's all going to some sick bastards (cough, Bush, Cheney) somewhere. Good luck finding a place to buy gas that is not connected to those "devils", if you find one tell the rest of us, would you please?

Let's stop driving our cars, trucks, suvs, buses, semi-trailers, motorcycles, lawn mowers and weed whackers for just one month...we would bring them to their knees like a mouse eating cheese!!! Come on all you self-righteous tree hugging ex-hippies who now make six figures but are too lazy to walk two blocks to the 7-Eleven for your pint of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia so you hop into your shiny red 12 miles to the gallon super truck to go get it!! Fight the Power!!!!!

Sheesh...

I am with you all the way. Americans should boycott Citgo gas stations and hit Chavez and his hoods in the pocketbook where it really hurts.

Chow!!
