I really like "Ninja Scroll" but most other Japanimation I don't like. Seems they add alot of cultural refrenses that I wouldn't understand without living in Japan. What would you recomend?

Evangelion Neon Genesis is good but it gets really deep.
Xenosaga
Chobits
to name a few.
I like the Japanese versions with subtitles better than the English versions.

"Ninja Scroll" is the best f**king Japanimation movie ever!!! That is the most violent anime I have ever seen! Damn that's a great movie!

Cowboy Bebop is THE BEST anime series. It's about this motely crew of bounty hunters who hop from planet to planet. American humor, definatly. A mix of anime and film noir. Good music too. Awsome all around. Akira is pretty good too but very violent. A lot of anime is.

'Ghost in the Shell' if you like science fiction.
For fun Miyasaki's films are the best. Like 'Laputa:Castle in The Sky', 'Porco Rosso' or 'Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro'

I would recommend "Vampire Hunter D". Great movie, but hard to find in the U S.
