It would be 8.25.
This is how I did it:
Fraction is: 8 1/4
=> Take the 'denominator' 4, in this case and multiply that by 8.
=> You've got 32. Now add the 'numerator' 1 in this mixed fraction.
=> Now you have 33/4.
=> Having gotten this simple fraction, you could either do this by hand or use a calculator and you will get 8.25 as your decimal value.
