I agree.
I know Muslims may have been offended by what he said.
But then speak up and defend yourself in a calm and rational manner!
SOME Muslims responding by burning churches etc only reinforces the comment the pope made...or quoted another person making...
And Muslims who are speaking to the media against the pope should take a few seconds to condemn any violent protests by their own people.
I wish a great and well spoken Muslim leader would take up the banner of Non-Violence. Like Gandhi!
As a lapsed Christian I wish only that all religions could live together peacefully and have a meaningful spiritual dialog and learn from each other.
I think I could learn alot from the Islamic religion. I went to my first ever Bar Mitvah this weekend and learned alot from that. It was quite enjoyable. I'd love to learn more from Buddhist and Hindus as well.
Sigh..............Sometimes it all just seems so hopeless.

Have you ever met him personally?
Have you ever seen him do a good deed?... such as adopt a handicapped child?...lend someone some money?...help an old lady cross a busy street?.....Yeah you could also say the leader of the KKK wears a funny hat too....is he a nice man?
and people are angry because the pope talked out of his A$s....as most religious leaders do!

becuase religion is slowing down evolution of the human race. becuase its instilling traditions used over 1000s of years ago which have no practical use in todays daily lives. becuase those that fear superstition are more likely to go towards an intangible being (god) for support instead of making their lives better now they pray it will be good in the afterlife. if you couldnt tell i do not like organized religion.

Arab people and their terrorists friends, don't get up set when they see people being beheaded, or their children being used as human bombs and killing other people, they can watch a man being beheaded and not think a think of it, but some one doodles a couple of cartoon and says a few words out of a quote centuries ago, and they riot and get incensed over it, those people are nuts.
