Played defense with the best in history? What planet are you from! He played in the watered-down '90's, when overall talent was at an all-time low.
Let him try and guard Bird, or Dr. J or Gervin, and see how well he'd do. They would chew him up and spit him out.
Pippen was a great player FOR HIS TIME, but in the history of the NBA, there were many, many forwards much better than him.

People remembered Jordan with the Bulls instead of Scotty Pippen. However, Pippen had two very successful years where he lead the bulls to two 50 win seasons while Jordan was in baseball. He is one of the greatest 50 players of all time.
The reason he doesn't get much respect is attibuted to the huge drop in his production once he left the Bulls. Teamed with Barkley and Olajuwan in Houston, big things were expected but they flopped. Ever since he's been mediocre at best.

I disagree. call me dumb yet... PG - Steve Nash- superb considering Magic, extra constructive than Stockton SG - Michael Jordan - staggering of all time SF - LeBron James - by the time he retires he'd get intense attention of being the wonderful PF - Tim Duncan - purely unstoppable C - Wilt - the main dominant great manever bench Kidd - He could be interchangeable with Nash Kobe - The shield version of Chamberlain Garnett - 20,10,5 night in night out Shaq - 2d maximum dominant Magic - 3-time MVP Pippen - superb on-the-ball defender ever. could desire to've been mvp a minimum of as quickly as Olajawon - did you spot what he did to Robinson interior the playoffs? Malone - he revolutionized the forward place

Jordan did make pippen better, but the 2 years that jordan left the bulls, pippen did not "elevate" his game. but the main reason he doesnt get respect is that he's not the smartest guy, and his ability to express himself intelligently is limited. i think he was a fantastic sf, one of the best ever

Yeah, one word... Jordan.
You may have a great hamburger in front of you, but ignore it for the filet.
