Thanks for the question.
Just a quick survey of the results so far.
In my opinion, of course, I have categorized the responses as: (1) responder had no clue this was a joke; (2) cannot determine if the responder did or didn't know this was a joke; and, (3) those who "got it"
And the survey says:
"no clue this was a joke" 14
"dunno" 4
"got the joke" 10
so 14/28 are bad at math
14/28 have a sense of humor or are good at math.
50-50.
I love these trolling questions.... lot's of fun.
And I have got to get this on a T-shirt!!

clearly, since you suggest that there are 5 parts in a 3 part whole. you can only have up to 3/3, which equals 1, or 100%. 5/3 would be more than 1, more than 100%, more like 166%. And since that is more than the totally population, it is impossible because you cant make up people just because you feel like it. So either you really suck at math, or you just made a pretty good math joke. If it's the latter, CHEERS!

No it is not.
If there is 5/3 of anything then there is 1 & 2/3 of it.The worst that could be said is that 3/3 are bad at math.That cannot be true either,since some are good at math.
It is safe to say that most people have trouble with math.
Even if they know how to do the work,the mind loses its edge after a while.
Math is just a perishable skill.

I think you mean 3/5. If your statement is true then all the world and some of Mars is bad at math too.

5/3 is probably underestimating it. It is probably more 10/6 or 15/9. That's nearly twice of half the world's population.
