Echinacea can be a wonderful support to your immune system, if that's what you body needs. For me, echinacea doesn't do much; I need the Chinese herbal component. There's an easy way to help you determine which herbal supplements will help you. Stand with both feet firmly planted on the floor, about a foot apart. Hold the supplement over your belly button (over the top of clothes is fine) for 10 seconds or so. Notice if your body is feeling like it's moving forward or being pushed back. If you're getting a forward motion feeling, it's a supplement you body can benefit from. If it feels like you're getting pushed backward, put the supplement back on the shelf and try another.

should not take everyday all the time. But it is useful during cold/flu months. I take 3 tablets 3 times a day for 3 days at the onset of the cold/flu coming on. It kills the virus...then lay off of it. Just use it when needed.

Don't take echinacia for more than 8 weeks at a time and always read the label!

You should only take it 6 weeks and then give your body a rest. This is the best way to build up your immune system.
