No, I haven't noticed. Ya see, I've been living in a cave these last few weeks.

Hadn't thought of it having to do anything with the elections however, here's my thought:

Has to do more with the oil companies.

Back in 1979 (when there was an energy crisis), the then President said that we would stop being so dependent on foreign oil by producing alternative vehciles that would use alternative fuel. Lots of money was spent on the research and there was progress being made. Oil companies got fearful that they were about to be replaced by some new fuel. They crashed the prices to the extent that the research on alternative fuel stopped because they figured it'll really be useless since the gas prices are now so cheap.

Have we found a lot more oil lately? Like A LOT OF IT that would make the price go down upto 92 cents in some places? I don't think so.

Hence, I think it's got a lot to do with the oil companies.

The prices will continue to drop until the elections in November. The Regime wants us to feel safe and happy. After the election the prices will go WAY up.

Yes! This is only because there is an election coming up in November. Do not expect prices to stay there for long because we have hit what is called peak oil. This means that the production of oil is on a downward slope. Think supply and demand

It's another conspiracy.
All the economic experts say gas prices have nothing to do with the election.
But we know better.
It's Bush and the Space Aliens, again.

so let me get this straight if gas prices go up its bush's fault because he's an idiot, and if gas prices fall it's a republican conspiracy. That's it, I give up, I will no longer try to reason with the unreasonable. any neo-cons wanna start a chat room!!!!

It is that time of the year.
Oil prices are falling all over the world, not just in the US.
It has nothing to do with elections.

Oh, drat, drat, drat. You exposed our evil plan! You see, we were trying to make you think the President was an idiot, but you knew better. You found out instead that he sets the gas prices during his morning staff meetings.

With you as the opposition, how are we ever going to win any elections?

You are very naive and, obviously, listen to the Main Stream press and most people here on Yahoo Answers. Gas prices are effected by supply and demand...period! Have you noticed (I doubt it) how much crude oil is being purchased on the world market by China and India over the past two years? Why not study and LEARN economics?

let them say what they will, bush is an oil man. he didn't do anything about the record breaking profits, price gouging oil companies because he's a good 'ol boy to them. the price dropping has everything to do with the elections and you dam-well better believe it.

Noticed weeks ago.
And last year at this time.
And the year before that at this time.
And the year before that at this time.
And the year before that at this time.
And the year before that at this time.
Those "cons" sure are clever to make it look like a seasonal pattern that occurs every year in North America. But not nearly as clever as you for blowing the lid off that conspiracy.

Good for you.
