Well most bar girls just sing and entrain the customers and yes its safe depend on which bar you go to

Of course its safe, they wouldn't make money if it was dangerous to go in and scaring away customers!
However they are a bit of a rip off, the girls swamp you when you enter and expect you to buy them all drinks for which they get a commission, the mamasan will try to push you to choose a girl the second you walk in, the bill is overcharged 90% of the time, if you try to leave after one drink the mamasan will try to prevent you from leaving (in a playful manner but really annoying), and if you choose to take a girl out of the bar you will need to pay a bar fine, and the girl later.
Your better off going to have a look, but then heading to a normal bar and hooking up there.

Bar girls, well, it's not safe. Because they're already the regular entertainers of the old timers. If you're able to come out alive, that's good. But if you accept pleasure from them, you might get something that you will be sorry for the rest of your life. So, be very careful.

Just pick a good one and stick with her. She will protect you and unlike an American hooker will not take you for a ride and rip you off. Remember the law there says you pay a bar fine to take the woman out of the club. Whatever happens after that is up to the both of you.

if you look gullible enough.....try not to be like the American GI who is currently under RAPE CHARGES from a girl he got in a bar frequented for sex for sale.
Safe from what? even if you use rubber, it does not mean you can not get infected with other skin diseases like scabies, molluscom contagion, crabs or pubic lice, etc. Kissing can also transfer incureable viruses such as hepatitis and herpes. Be careful.
Best is to marry a decent filipina woman of your level, education, financial, social , physical features etc. you won't regret it. They are one of the best.
Safe from what again? security? if you look rich, go to the expensive ones, but there are always some sort of scam if you are not careful.You could always find pleasures and enjoyment if you like to spend enough.What really goes on, well, be careful as i said, what if you got the wrong timing and there was this police raid with accompanying medias, you might get wind up with them.

Just stay home in Australia, dinnywat. You are obviously frightened of gays, bargirls, bars, anything different, etc. to the point that you probably won't enjoy and appreciate the visit. Why are you even coming to the country anyways?

When you first arrive in manila, go to the LA Cafe....a very relaxing bar on Mabini Street in Ermita in the city of Manila.....talk to some foreigners and get a feel of the place....no cover...no hassle....then make decisions on that....not here on the net....I been there 3 times.....overall you will be very safe...don't listen to the negative vibes here....

Sorry to be blunt, but, these bargirls just want your money, or they want to marry you. These bargirls are infact women who sell their bodies for money, yes, that's the reality. Just don't take advantage and make sure you are not breaking any laws.
Also, they see that marrying a foreigner is the easy way out of their poverty and hardships in life.

The bars are generally safe in the Philippines. Just don't flash out your huge cash and blings and don't go too wild in bars up to the extent you can piss others.

If you can find any bar in this world that doesn't serve alcohol -which allows you to consume it even beyond the toxic level, then go there as i would assure you would be safe in such a place!

it's 100% safe. but anywhere it's up to you to decide. always wear pre-cautions. don't let anyone take advantage you nor take advantage anybody. Know your limits and stay with it.If you love to be entertained with little alcohol that's good. Be watchful all the time. Goodluck!
