I'm not sure what you mean by the silly season. Unless you can elaborate a little further, I can't give you a good answer. I can venture a guess that by silly season, you mean a rampant display of humor, either the belly-laugh variety or the stupidity type, probably never. As long as people see the funny side of life and appreciate it, who's to say that it has to end? If you don't agree with what others are finding funny, you'll just have to create your own type of humor.
