Maybe. The loch may be linked via deep underground tunnels to others including Loch Morar - which has it's own/shared monster and is almost touching distance from the sea.

A lot of ignorant people immediately discredit it's/their existence on this answer thread, I wouldn't be so quick to do that. If it's there, who knows what it is - an eel (as someone has said), a sturgeon (type that into google images and see how big they are!) or something else (which may be able to move in and out of the loch?). I know for a fact folk have seen odd things, I've spoken to them, and experienced an odd encounter in one loch (canoe lifted on a swell on an otherwise calm Loch Morar). Whatever folk are seeing, it's unexplained - but they ARE seeing things. What it is is another matter.

I have cruised up and down the loch quite a few times and saw nothing, and any one producing a photograph will make history as well as a fortune. A number of years ago a film of a large moving object was given to the royal air force to give it a good look over an they came up with the fact it was a live creature of over 20 feet in length .It's a case of ether you believe or you don't, personally I do believe there is some thing there, it's a mysterious bit of water.

The Loch Ness Monster is more than likely real, but in all probability is a very large conger or moray eel. This would explain the peculiar "hoops" above water level in all the photographs over the years.

Nobody has solid proof, but many believe there is a Loch Ness monster.

Of course Nessie is real or you wouldn't be asking. You are living in denial and are looking to be honest with yourself that big long prehistoric scaly things actually exist. I would send you the proof you need but Nessie is on holiday in the Alps looknig after Big Foots cave while hes visiting E.T. on the other side of the universe.

I've seen ol' nessie once. She was nessied, I mean nestled, HaHa!! in the shallow waters. When I seen her I paused as she looked up at me. There was a deathly silence, and smell. Then she started to sumberge herself in the yellowie waters. She gave a splash that startled me, so I jumped back and quickly flushed the toilet. That was the last I've seen of nessie.
