OK, to everyone still stuck on the report that the 29 and 31 altered their rims - get over it. Dillner has not produced a shred of evidence, and NASCAR themselves have said it isn't true. Why do you people even bother with it anymore, NASCAR themselves have put it to rest. And besides, trying to let the air out of a hole in the rim is a good way to let too much air out or blow out the tire, which would be very stupid, as the hole would be a RELEASE VALVE, NOT A BLEEDER VALVE. Oh yeah, the teams don't mount their own tires, Goodyear does, and they get them at the track, at random. The precision work needed to manipulate a rim would have to BE DONE AT THE SHOP, NOT THE TRACK! Now, if you think Harvick is cheating, feel free to keep your heads in the sand and root for the robot, the prima donna, the june-bug, or rainbow wimpy.
Now, as to whether Harvick can take the title, the answer is yes. Here is the rundown as to why he has a good shot at winning both Cups.
Dover: 3rd in the spring
Kansas: No races this year there, but results from Chicago and Las Vegas (similar tracks) Las Vegas: 11th, Chicago: 4th.
Talladega: 23rd, but usually has very strong runs on plate tracks
Lowe's: 34th, his worst track on the Chase schedule, but Lowe's is as big of a Wild-Card as 'Dega because of the wrecks there
Martinsville: 7th in the spring, and has had good runs spoiled by equipment problems. But he is strong there, and on any short track.
Atlanta: Don't forget that he won his first race there. He finished 39th in the spring due to a pair of youngsters taking him out (Stremme and Kyle Busch).
Texas: 5th, also a similar track to Atlanta and Lowe's.
Phoenix: Won the Spring race. Also, this team has performed well on flat tracks this season (See Martinsville, Loudon, Vegas, Chicago).
Homestead: 8th last year with a car and team that has been down all season. Look for improvement with a team that is up and sharp.

I don't think Harvick will win both. He's going to win the Busche series, which I don't think he should even be racing in. He is a CUP driver not a Busche driver. All he is doing is hurting the Busche drivers. There is no wonder he is winning the standings there is is a better driver then any Busche driver. He is suppose to be. He is not giving the Busche drivers a fair chance. He needs to stay with the Cup. No cup drivers should race in the Busche series that is for the up and coming not the current cup drivers.

I like him and all and is a good driver and not all that bad looking and has a wife who is interested in the sport and wears a firesuit to the track all the time and goes to every race except a road course and he won this year at a road course, but I don't think he can pull the cup off but the busch series he has already won I mean a 600 point lead is hard to make up good luck to anyone who wishes to catch him. He could do horrible the next 9 races and probably still win. I think his wife is probably more interested in the sport then any of the other wives/girlfriends/finance's whatever because Im not saying all of them are but I think some of them are gold diggers or trophy wives if you get what I mean.

If Kevin has no bad luck he could be the first driver to win both the same year. He has the Busch series locked. But anything can happen in the cup series, Don't forget Talladaga is coming up soon that could be a rough one

It depends, apparently Harvick and Burton were cheating, they had manipulated racing wheels to release air pressure from the tire , but it was not counted against them for the simple fact it was never specified in the rule book, but if it happens again they will be penalized. So if that was the reason he had won, then No, he won't take the championship for the Cup. Harvick is a good driver and I still think he has a good chance

He has the Busch championship locked up for sure. In the Cup series, he has a great shot but there are some other guys that will give him a run for his money.

No. He has Busch series championship waped up. There are still 9 races left in cup and they all still have a chance to win it. It will be tuff for Jimmie and Kyle to win. I do think Kasey or Matt will win the championship.

well theres no question that he has the busch title already unless he screws up every race which i dont think he will do and if he stays out of trouble runs constent top 5 top 10 finshes for the rest of the nextel season he should be fine for the championship..but he cant make a mistake for the last nine races...remember theres still talledega and martinsville so anything can happen at them two tracks

It's still to early to tell if he's gonna win or not....We all know that he's gonna win the Busch title...But the cup title could be anyone...We'll just have to wait till Homestead to find out....If he does win it just proves that he's good at what he does.....But honestly I wish it would be Dale Earnhardt Jr that would win...
