Marks & Spencer celebrates launch of new fashion ad
M&S celebrated the launch of its new television ad campaign today with a photocall encapsulating the theme of the ad which sees the 'famous five' - Twiggy, Erin O'Connor, Laura Bailey, Noemie Lenoir and newcomer, Elizabeth Jagger - on an action packed sight seeing tour of London modelling a selection of outfits from the Autumn Collection. Three of the team - Erin, Laura and Lizzy gave a taste of the new ad posing in front of famous London landmarks the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.

In the advertisement the five women are shown in various famous London locations including the courtyard of Somerset House, crossing Albert Bridge in Battersea, riding on a red London bus through the capital and visiting the British Museum. The soundtrack accompanying the ad is "A glass of champagne" by Sailor.

Steve Sharp, Marketing Director at M&S said: "The backdrop of London gives us a great canvas to show off a selection of our amazing Autumn and Winter collections, and the addition of Lizzy Jagger adds yet another new dimension to the campaign."

The campaign was again created by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and airs on Wednesday 13th September at 7.45pm during Coronation Street. The first version to be screened will be 90 seconds long with future versions running at 50 seconds.

Don't you remember 'Glass of Champagne' from the mid 70s - or are you too young? (If you are I pity you). Think it was Sailor who sung it - prob about 1975-76.
