You have security failure. The security system thinks you are trying to steal the car.
Try the spare key. Make sure it has the little "chip" in the base of the head of the key.
Also take a Q-Tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and swab the ignition key lock entrance, where the chip would normally rest. Clean it well to remove all residue such as grease, hand lotion, debris, food particles, anything that would limit electrical contact.
If this doesn't work, take the VIN number (registration will do, along with picture I.D.) to the dealer parts department. There they should be able to cut a key from manufacturer's references.
If all this fails, you will have to tow it to the Cadillac dealer.

Maybe the key lost its program.
