the Democrats?

Typically the Republicans end up with a couple extra actual points once the actual voting polls close.

Will the Republicans have their cake and eat it too?

The DNC advised all democratic candidates to keep their mouths shut and let the Republicans bury themselves. Pelosi and Clinton can't keep their yaps shut.

The Dems in Ohio making noise about Blackwell is backfiring, not just in Ohio, but nationwide.

It looks like the Senate is not going to go their way. (In NJ Bob Menendez has about 20,000 signs along the highway but not one has the word "democrat" on it.)

Watch for talks about Diebold and broken machines, and don't forget hanging chads when the Dems don;t have both houses in November.

I saw the results for several polls on RealClearPolitics.com. One showed the Generic Congressional Race poll in a dead tie. The other four showed the Dems with a lead of 3 points to 14 points, depending upon the poll.

The USA Today/Gallup poll was the one that showed the dead heat. Fox News gave the Dems a 3% edge. But even the Gallup poll, which was a dead heat on likely votes, gave the Dems the edge when looking at Registered Voters, Regular Voters, and All Adults. The edge among Regular Voters was 49% Dem, 45% GOP.

In all these polls, the margin of error is +/- 3%. So Bush's big jump from 39% to 44% approval of the past week could simply be an issue with random sampling. If his approval is really 41%, the +/- 3% would give you a range of 38 to 44.

So, it's still looking good for the Democrats. But there are going to be a lot of close races. Of the 50 most highly-contested Congressional races, 40 of them have a Republican incumbant.

If the Democrats cant win right now they might as well all pack up and go home

And just FYI to all you fox news is wrong people, the Gallop poll shows
"Gallup's initial read on the U.S. House voting preferences of likely voters shows 48% supporting the Democratic candidate in their district and 48% the Republican"

Those Fox news wackos are sure way off base huh!

I'm hoping! But of course, nothing about Fox News can be trusted--only organizations like CNN and Youtube are really unbiased. (I wrote that with a straight face.)

It means that both the media as well as the Democrats need to pull their heads out of the sand (or wherever else they have been keeping it) and realize that more than half of the country does not agree with them in spite of the continuing stream of left wing drivel that is being continuously shoveled onto the American public through traditional left leaning media sources.

With the dems always siding with the terrorists and their rights (to which they have none!) and ridiculous senators like mine from Wisconsin- Dem. Russ Feingold who said we shouldn't use the term Islamo-fascist (so what DO you call them Russ? Your buddies?) the Republicans have a great chance of winning this fall.... maybe even pick up enough seats to finally get some things done regarding national security and lower taxes!

Have a great day!!!

A lot depends on what happens in the next few weeks.

A lot also depends on who is giving the poll and how the qeustions are worded

Republicans have the control over the Diebold electronic voting machines. This issue has already been discussed here in Florida. The machines have been tested and they are wildly inaccurate. Diebold has tight connections with the Republican Party. Republicans saw the opportunity to take control of elections and they certainly have done that. They have had an unusual amount of success in elections since these machines have been introduced. especially here in Florida. Expect more Republican victories in the future. Guaranteed. Expect Democrats to have their butt handed to them in the future because they have not realized the power of controlling election results.
