I always used Chartpak markers. Maybe it was the smell... I just thought they blended better, and they lasted longer. Prismacolor dried out too fast and the nibs wore down too soon. Pantone were just too expensive.

That's my opinion.

well... I'm not a superb graphic designer... but I have to say that PrismaColor isn't so bad! :)

But the best, is obviously the Pantone... but the Pantone company is the best to work too!!! ;)

And finally... answering your question... I've never tried Chartpak!

I prefer Pantone because of the flexibility of the nibs (3 different sizes). Anything is better than Prismacolor, in my opinion (marketing the fact that the ink streaks as "3 different shades in one marker"? No thanks.) Chartpak's not bad, but I always had problems with the color bleeding, especially if I wanted a really fine line.
