If you are an ovum "egg donnor" and not all of the harvested eggs were used, what happens to the rest?

They are usually destroyed after a certain amount of time or used for research. Did you sign an agreement when you agreed to donate your eggs? The agreement should state what, if anything, will be done with them.

there is another possibilty: those frozen embryos can also be adopted, esp. by infertile couples.

they usually freeze them for future purposes.
