They have to be old enough to understand that mummy got it wrong when she thought the state owed her a roof over her head till her dying day because she brought them into the world. Apart from that you have no right to a house. They could put you in a flat. But honestly, you are probably better off asking at the housing office or the social next time you are there. They get paid to make sure someone looks after those that can't provide for their own.

Where are you from?
Every Local Authority in Scotland, and I am sure UK has a duty to provide everyone with a house. It may be a long process but you are entitled - whether you are working (if you are working, you obviously have to pay for part of it!) or not, and even more given that you have three kids you would be a priority!
Contact your local Housing Association, Homeless Service for more information

This sounds like a 'how soon can I be given a house so I can continue to sponge off the State and not get a job' !
Get off your backside - stop producing kids and buy your own home. Take some responsibility for your life and start being a good role model.

I think what I object to in this question is the assumption that you will 'get' a house (presumably council / housing association) just because you've got three children. I've got two children and although I'd love another myself and my husband feel we can't afford another one. We own our own house and work really really hard for it.

As far as I know, there is no law barring you from purchasing a house based on how many kids you have or how old they are, unless you're applying for some kind of welfare benefits.

I think that the law states your eldest boy/girl cannot share with a younger different sex sibling when they get to 9.
Check with your local Citizens Advice Bureau, they should have the right advice for you. Good luck.

Seeing as you are going through politics and government I presume you are on welfare. If you are you have to wait two years. Send your kids to school and get a job. Then you can get a house by paying for it.

boys and girls over 7 years old should not share bedrooms.
get on the list and keep going in to ask where you are.
