Andriy Shevchenko (Ukrainian: Андрій Миколайович Шевченко, Andriy Mykolayovych Shevchenko, nicknamed "Sheva", born 29 September 1976, Dvirkivschyna, Kiev Oblast) is a Ukrainian football striker who is contracted to English club Chelsea of the Premier League championship. He has played 69 matches and scored 31 goals for the national team of Ukraine, which he represented at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
At an early age, Shevchenko was a competitive boxer in the LLWI Ukrainian junior league. Due to his size, he was forced to move on to football where he flourished. He began his career with Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv, with whom he won five Ukrainian Premier League titles and two Ukrainian Cups in five seasons between 1994 and 1999. With Italian club AC Milan, he won one Serie A title, one UEFA Champions League, one European Super Cup, one Italian Cup and one Italian Super Cup between 1999 and 2006.
In December 2004, Shevchenko was named the European Footballer of the Year. He was also named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004. Also in 2004, Shevchenko was awarded the title Hero of Ukraine by former President of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma.

Andriy Shevchenko- Born 29 September 1976 in Dvirkivschyna, Ukraine. He is currently a striker at Chelsea FC in the English Premier League. He has one goal in 4 apps there. He previous played at AC Milan in Italy's Serie A, where he had 127 goals in 208 apps. And before that, he played at Dynamo Kyiv, where he had 60 goals in 117 apps. He also plays for the Ukraine national team, in which he has scored 32 goals in 70 apps. He is married, if you were wondering, to an American model named Kristen Pazek, who he has one son with, named Jordan. They were married in July 2004 in Washington, DC.

shevchenko, in my opinion is a very good striker on the ukrainian national team. he has just sighned onto to chelsea, (a soccer club) was on ac milan, and before that on dynamo kiev (yea dynamo!) he is married to an american model, has a son, and is planing on living in england. he is currently practising with the urkainian team for the qualiyfing for euro 08. if u need more information just type in shecchnko on google and youll get millions of sites. support ukraine for qualfying!!!!
