I mean, it is kinda dumb, don't you think??? 6 spanish channels that I have to pay for. I live in Florida, not Puerto Rico. They have a spanish package so it makes no sense to me. I also don't wanna hear "you're a racist" crap.

Well DUH! Arrowhead!!! They have a SPANISH package and an ENGLISH package! There are no ENGLISH channels on the SPANISH package!

The fastest growing population in the United States is the Latino/Latina population. Since you're in Florida, there is a large Spanish-speaking population living there. The cable/satellite folks are marketing their products to this population. This is also a large "consumer" group and this group VOTES in the general election. All the more reason to have something that appeals to them.
I am sorry you are upset about this. You may want to direct your comments to the cable or satellite company to which you subscribe.
We don't get a lot of Spanish stations where I live. If we did, I just wouldn't watch them. With my cable subscription, I get the Golf channel and I don't golf! I get the Sci Fi channel and I don't like Sci Fi. I just don't watch them.
If you don't like it, subscribe and watch the few channels that are on your basic t.v. Or, turn off the t.v. and read some books!

I agree. I love the Mexican people but when the government has ruled that the national language of this country is America why are we subjected to this.
I was told by a friend recently that her 16 year old can't get a job in Arizona at any of the fast food places because she can not speak spanish. This prevents her from having a car and license because her parents can't afford it.
And why should my child be taught spanish on every cartoon that she watches?
I do not hate people of the hispanic population but if I was in their country I would be expected to speak their language.
When will it stop?

You pay for the package not just for spanish channels. So you can look at it like you are getting spanish channels free with your cable. You can choose or not to choose to watch it. But spanish women are pretty hot :D
