As something else said, you are not the first to ask this question.
Unfortunately , this question will probably go the same way as the others- pulled off , and violation notice issued. As a matter of fact a similar question was asked yesterday, not by me, and I noticed it had been removed when I looked for it today. Keep your eyes on this type of question, and you will see the trend emerging. Good luck though, and I agree with you.

I am a little confused about what you are asking here. Are you saying the "religion of Islam" is worded so that it is a contradiction, or are you questioning the Islam religion? If you, all of you are questioning the Islam religion, then I think you need to think harder about all religions. Many religions contradict themselves. To focus solely on Islam sounds to me as though you are being, as someone already said, ethnocentric. Open your mind a bit.

The only reason that the Koran seems contradictory is the fanatics who use the promotion of their religion as an excuse to kill anyone who disagrees with them, and to dogmatize younger members of the religion into the same belief system.
It has also happened with Christianity- remember the Crusades from history class, or the Spanish Inquisition, or the fanatical Catholic Queen Mary, who killed thousands of Protestants who wouldn't go back to Catholicism, before her sister Queen Elizabeth I put a stop to the whole thing?
But the grand majority of Muslims are peaceful and abhor the terrorists who kill 'in the name of Allah'.

Can you not find something else to whinge about,or are you only able to jump on the band wagon and ask questions that most like minded fools have asked.
What do you know about the Islamic faith that gives you the right to insult them, and although I am not religious I detest people like you who are hell bent on building up hatred, and remarks such as these are offensive and feed terrorism

It's not Islam that is a contradiction, it's those that would take a religion and twist it. It's those who as soon as you accuse them of being intolerant that become intolerant.

Many may agree with u but according to me no religion in its true form is wrong, only the interpretation people take out from the preachings of the lord are wrong and due to it may seem contradictory. all great books of religions be it Koran or Bible or be it Vedas (holy books of Hindus in India) preach only one thing and that is Love and path to God

i think all religions are about control, and how to teach people to behave, which is fine. all religions should respect each other as its the same principal at the end of the day. i personally think its all rubbish and causes too many problems, but would we be worse off without them?
