If you really research it, the chances on actually getting pregnant are few and far between. I saw someone else comment on God's influence, but I don't know your religious preferences so I won't go there. The viability of the egg released, the sperm choosing the right path to the egg, the sperm still having the endurance to break through the egg's casing, and fertilization occurring. Once all that happens, the whole process of of conception begins- chromosomes pair and the cells begin to duplicate and divide. If anything goes wrong in that process, the pregnancy, or Zygote, I believe it is called, it aborted. So many times a woman is pregnant and never even knows. It is an amazing, complicated, miraculous process that rewards a mother, father, &/or family with a precious infant 9 months later. Good luck to you!

actually it is better to start trying from about 5-6 days BEFORE the ovulation (about 14th day on a 28 day cycle), till about 1-2 days after.
make sure the guy doesn't "waste" his semen elsewhere (masturbation could be one)
I believe most doctors consider 6 to even 12 months to be fairly normal. You need for lots of things to go right, and small hindrances can block it all, at least sometimes.

Every couple is different. My husband and I have been trying for over 3 years. If the sperm count is normal, then something could be wrong with the women. After you have been trying for one year, go to a Fertility Specialist.

Because sometimes they are having sex too often and that can lower the man's sperm count, or they may not have been keeping good enough track of their cycles and were not ovulating when they thought they were.

Statistics show that a healthy couple will become pregnant 33% of the time BEFORE 6 months of trying
50% of the time after 6 months of trying
and 90% of the time before 1 year and a half of trying
I conceived LITERALLY a year and a half after trying EVERY month

Good question. I have been trying with my wife using the Clear Blue fertility monitor which let's us know what her peak ovulation times are and for two months we have had no success..
I don't understand how couples who want, and are willing to have children, have a difficult time conceiving. While at the same time 14 year old girls who have unprotected sex once and BANG, their pregnant....! Baffles my mind..
Anyways, I suggest getting the Clear blue fertility monitor. You can get it easily off e-bay!!
Good luck..!

Just takes a while for the sperm to meet the egg at the right time and be fertilized properly. Everyone is different.

You know, for a woman to get pregnant, several things must take place. I'm not eluding to the disgusting or anything, but sometimes things don't happen until it is time. Take care, and try not to worry to much about it. Most things happen when they are ready to.

I think its because people stress so much, and when they don't get pregnant they get frustrated. Haven't you noticed that the second you give up and stop focusing on it, bam it happens. I'm trying to conceive and this is my second month trying, but I'm trying very hard not to focus on it. But it doesn't seem to be working. I also think that its different with everyone. Just relax and enjoy your relations.

because the sperm and the egg of the girl arent ready to fuse together it means the ovary of the girl is just adjusting to be fertile enough to produce a new baby
