Unfortunately, not much. Criminals (in general) aren't stealing a loaf of bread to feed their starving families. They're stealing because they want to. The real problem is a lack of ethics (or better yet - morality). When a person with a lack of ethics is highly educated he simply becomes a better thief. Look at the criminals in Enron and (worse yet) in government.

When education doesn't teach the youngsters about how to stay away and avoid all the bad highways to crime, than this education is a failure and then the crime rate well increase.

I think people with a good education have higher self-esteem, have more respect for others and a sense of having had to work towards a goal.
Also, there are many more options for people with education.
They are surrounded by people with similar goals, which may not include committing crimes.
People who don't have school perhaps have a social group that has fewer options, and tend not to think long-term.
Just a thoughtful guess....

The more educated (smarter) you are, the less likely you are to feel the need to steal/rob/murder someone to get what you want...and the smarter you are, the more likely you are to see that you simply can't get away with anything. Try watching forensic files on courttv or cold case files to see what they can find now days! Also, if you watch these things, you see how dumb the crooks really are: they work harder trying not to work than they would with an honest job!

most people that don't have a good education resort to stealing, selling drugs, living off welfare etc. one race does it more but i wont mention the race. I'm sure you know who i mean. but they commit the most crimes. i don't dislike them, i just think they should want to better themselves for their children's sake.
