I am planning to buy the Proactiv to fight off my acne.

I have sensitive skin, with driness on the face.

I do not even use soap because of that.

Do you recommed buying it?

If not, can you advice me what to do for my acne problem?

My skin is also very sensitive, and as I age it gets dry easily.

I tried Proactive, and it really dried me out -- seems like a harsh line of products. But my breakouts weren't that bad to begin with. If you have a serious acne problem, Proactive might be a good solution.

Since you already have dryness problems, I'd recommend using a moisturizer with Proactive (or whatever treatment you decide upon). I use Aveeno, but there are thicker ones available.

A dermatologist could recommend a moisturizer and give you a professional opinion on Proactive.

Good luck!

I personally love Proactive, and it has worked great for me. But Proactiv works by drying out your skin, as do most acne products, so before you start using Proactiv or any other acne treatment, start using moisturizer. Start washing your face regularly, too, to unclog your pores. Try doing that before you spend a ton of money on an acne treatment- you may realize that your acne problem goes away. Also, Proactive is pretty strong. You may want to start with a milder acne treatment before using Proactiv. Good luck!

I heard it works really well.

Just be sure that if you do buy it, that it's going to be a commitment. Follow all instructions, and don't stop the treatment even if it's all gone. Continueing the treatment will prevent anymore from coming!

Also if you are looking for a cheaper way, I find that using 100% Aloe Vera Gel everynight and during the day, fights off my problem areas! Wouldn't hurt to try if first before paying $$$ for Proactiv. It only costs about $3-5 for it from like Wal-Mart. Works for me!

I have used Pro-Active and I am still using it. It does work, at least it did for me, but everyone's skin is different and there is no garauntee that if it works for one person it will for another. If you want to try proactive I say go for it the only catch is that you must continue to use the product because when some people discontinue using it their acne returns. Well, hope I helped and Good Luck :)

My brother had acne when he was in high school. He ended up getting the most help from a dermatologist who gave him a special face wash that cured his acne quite quickly.

I don't know anyone who has tried Proactiv, so I can't give you honest advice on that product.

I'm Asian with oily skin and huge break outs on my cheeks and forehead. Proactiv did NOT work for me. It actually inflamed the acne more, made it more red and more break outs... i dunno I think it was just the product. Instead, i use Murad with a combination of papaya based products.
