Windows XP Pro. w/SP2. I thought my USB port was bad, so I did troubleshooting & it said to remove all the usb stuff in the device manager & reboot, my keyboard, mouse & several other things were replaced upon re-boot...but not my imaging device, I've been trying for 2 days to resolve this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Providing the device was there previously then Windows XP should find it again.
Boot your computer, let it settle down and then swich on your camera, plug in the USB cable and it should recognise the "New hardware"
I have had this problem in the past and had to insert the cable a couple of times before it was recognised.
Make sure you have the software disk handy as XP may need it.
Good luck.

You may have to go to the camera manufacturer website and do a bit of research.
I know of a couple of cameras that are not recognised if they are connected using a USB external hub, powered or passive
