on round 3 of clomid, my OB increased my mg's to 100 this month. Last month on day 21 of cycle he ordered a blood test to check progesterone level it was 2.2, which he said was low. We already checked my thyroid which was fine. What are my chances of conceiving? I haven't had this problem before. I have 2 children and both were conceived within months of being of BCP. This time I was on depo for almost 3 years.

My OB has me take Clomid on cycle days 3-7, Estradiol (estrogen) on days 8-12 and then Prometrium (progesterone) from day 16 until the end of my cycle or until the end of my first trimester if I get pregnant. I don't know if he's ever checked my progesterone level, but he did a biopsy of my uterus lining on cd 22 and increased the amount of progesterone from 100 to 200 mg/day. He said it was to thicken my lining to sustain a pregnancy (I had a miscarriage previously). The very next month I conceived and gave birth to a full term healthy baby girl. My OB also gives me HCG injections on days 14 and 21. All of this has worked in the past for me, I'm hoping it will work again. This is my 3rd month ttc. Anyway, my point is, could your OB possibly give you progesterone to help increase your level? Or, if you aren't ovulating on the Clomid alone, maybe the HCG will help.

I've heard of women having a harder time conceiving after the depo shot. I hope that is not the case for you. Good luck!

Hi. Well, it sure is great to hear from someone else who is on Clomid. I just finished off my first round and I don't know, I'm kind of disappointed, because I feel as though I did not conceive. There is this website I would recommend you to visit, it's called "The Clomid Club". You can ask questions there about Clomid and its effects and stuff. It's really terrific. Good luck.

They can monitor your follicles about day 10 or so and see if they are mature enough. When they are at 20 then they can give you an HCG shot to make you ovulate! I'm sure once you do concieve they will put you on progesterone. Best of luck!
