Brand new 2007 Solstice. I just drove it through the car wash (touchless) and it leaked like a siv. This can't be acceptable, can it? Anyone else?

DENISE G cites experience, but apparently does not have much if you look at the question she posted shortly before you. Take it back to the dealer. Most states require you to give the dealer/manufactuirer 3 attempts to repair a concern before you can even try lemon law, but I don't think it will even come into play here. You're at a VERY powerful automatic car wash. Cars cannot be built to withstand every possible environmental situation, otherwise they would cost $200,000 each. Have the dealer check it out. Hand wash it from now on. And if it continues to leak, call Pontiac. The phone number is in the back of your owner's manual. They will intervene on your behalf and try to get the dealer and/or area rep to resolve the leak. If they can't, they will refer you to the BBB who will arbitrate against GM, free of charge to you, and try to get GM to buy the car back from you. The BBB or a lawyer will not be able to get anything accomplished unless you have contacted the manufacturer first and given them an opportunity to correct the concern, so don't waste your time.

With all that being said, I think you just need to stop taking it through the automatic carwash, and everything will be fine.

Take it back to the dealer, along with any other complaints. This is the time to get it done.
The car was washed when it was PDI'ed and probably several times on the lot. But they used a hose or a pressure washer which didn't force water into the door gaskets.
It won't take much to repair, but may take the day for glue to mature.

Probably not a good idea to take a convertible through a carwash that uses water at high pressure to clean it. The real test is if it leaks in the rain. If it does, take it to your dealer to have it checked out.

Consumer reports said the same thing. When it rains water isn't blasted straight at your car under 100PSI pressure. It is acceptable although most cars don't leak. P.S. Auto car washes are hell on your paint. Don't be lazy... hand wash it.

It is totally UNACCEPTABLE. Take it right back to the dealership. If it leaks in the carwash, it will leak in the rain and snow also. In no time, your brand new, beautiful car is going to smell like mold. Take it back and demand they fix/ replace it.

NO THIS ISN'T RIGHT !!!! QUESTION THOUGH ?? DID IT LEAK THROUGH THE DOOR / WINDOWS/ OR YOU JUST FOUND YOURSELF SETING IN WATER....MY OLD PONTIAC WOULD RUN DOWN FROM THE FRONT WINDSHEILD DOWN THE INSIDE CRACK OF THE DOOR TOWARDS THE ENGINE AND RUN THROUGH THE FIREWALL INTO THE FLOOR BOARD.. IF THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING THE PONTIAC MANUFACTURES KNOW THIS IS A PROBLEM AND THEY DON'T CARE

No way! Take it back and make them fix it. It should be fixed at no charge, especially if the car is less than 30 days old.
