First keep the kids locked up and away from the stainless steel-otherwise what's the point of wiping off the fingerprints? I use a cleaner called Kaboom that works awesome on stainless steel. You can also use any kind of stainless steel cleaner. I've heard that you should never use Windex on stainless steel because it's not good for the metal. Good luck.

Zep Stainless steel cleaner and polish. It started out as a commercial cleaner in restaurants, but you can now purchase it at the Home Depot. It is great because it cleans off grease, burnt on food, water stains, just about anything and then it leaves a potective barrier to prevent staining and fingerprints. Makes it easier to clean the next time. It is a spray foam, easy application.

No way...stainless steel appliances are totally worth the effort. In fact, the effort is minimal. You buy a stainless steel spray and it cleans up quickly. Just make the cleaning part of your daily chores or even weekly and the look alone is the pay-off. I can't own anything but stainless now.

Chemical cleaners add to the problem. The ONLY solution is 300 degree hot dry steam. Buy a Sargeant Steam clean machine, you can do your entire house, keeping it cleaner, brighter, disinfected and less maintenance. They're easy to use; consider it an investment in an appliance to maintain your other appliances and tools.

You might want to try a product called stainless magic. You apply it to your rag first so you get an even coat & wipe with the grain. Or you can do the same thing with lemon pledge or mineral oil. Just don't use too much or it will look greasy.
