When I turned 30 I felt just as you do now. For me it was the hardest birthday of all in my life to confront. Now I'm 67 and I KNOW what a great age 30 actually is. Trust me, the decade you are entering is going to be so much better than your teens or twenties. Matter of fact, the next 3 decades, at the very least, are going to be great if you allow them to be. Just try not to live too much in the past or the future. Remember, your POINT OF POWER is always NOW.

Honey, you are a peach!
When I was a mother of a 6 year old child-age 31- I joined the NAVY and went to boot camp. I was in the best shape of my life, and on top of the world. I was healthy, happy, and great-looking.
I would give anything to have that body back.
Now, I am 56, and out of shape, but happier than I have ever been in my life-in love and with few responsibilities, other than day-to-day stuff.
The best advice I have for you is to embrace what you DO have, and let go of what you don't have. Wake up every morning rejoicing that you get another chance to "get it right." Do somehing --go out of your way-every day to do something nice for someone else-that no one will congratulate you for. Something little, like opening a door for a child, or putting a nickel in someone's parking slot. Even smling at someone-for no reason, will make you love living.
Try to remember that your life here is short--don't waste one day feeling sorry for yourself-when there are millions who go to bed hungry or get beaten or otherwise brutalized every day.
You don't have to feel guilty, either, just know how truly lucky you are, and USE it to make your world a better place to live in.
If you have never worked in a homeless shelter, try it for a hour, and you will be singing how lovely your life is.
I do know how you feel, tho. When I was 26, I had just had a baby, and was complaining to my dad how old and tired I was.He showed me a newspaper clipping of my childhood playmate who, at 26 was the youngest Grandmother in the state of Oklahoma. I felt so young--instantly.
It is ALL in YOUR ATTITUDE- and your physical fitness level.
Go to the gym.

30 is not old, unless you are located in Africa. Stay active, have regular check-ups and you have another 45+ years to go.... Not sure how to continue to feel young but I find basketball helps me!!!!!!
