I am planning to buy the Proactiv to fight off my acne.

I have very sensitive skin, with very dry all the time.

In fact, my skin becomes so out of oil that I do not even use soap.

Do you recommed buying it?

If not, can you advice me what to do for my acne problem?

I at one point had some acne when I got off birth control. It has since left. But anyway I bought proactiv. It worked for the first two weeks and then it got worse. I then stopped and used simple facial washes and it went away. The thing about proactiv is this...And I have heard this from many many people. Proactiv might not work for everyone, BUT it will work, and it can work for a couple of years then eventually it will stop working. I guess your skin gets use to it and it just looses its effect. I've heard this from many people and I read a lot about the angry customers on the internet message boards. You should see a dermatologist, there's many things that they can prescribe you. A over the counter pill that kills bacteria like minocycline and differin, etc. Make sure you drink a lot of water to. A lot of acne is caused by toxins in your body. I did hear about this crazy diet to (I bought the book) in which for 3 days you eat nothing but apples and water. Then the last day you restart your body with a tablespoon of olive oil. The thing is you have to give yourself an enema everyday. This clears all the toxins in your body. There's more to the diet but cannot remember it all of it off the top of my head. My cousin tried it and after a week all her pimples had gone away. I'm not lying! And she suffered years and years of severe acne. I didnt' do the diet but it worked for her.

Proactive worked for me but not very well and it usually comes with a moisturizer(sp?) in the package. I recommend seeing a dermatoligst and having them prescribe somthing because its usually more effective.

Dude, listen to me. I had the same thing you have. ProActiv is too expensive and doesnt work. Try OXY's Chill Factor face wash. Its the best. 10% benzoil peroxide.

You don't need anything that says oil free then.
