My baby shower will be in November, and we are trying to plan everything now. We have no idea what kind of food to get for the shower! Any suggestions?

Thanks! :)

We are having the party at my aunt's house. There will be about 40 people.

Something easy so the hostess can enjoy the party too. Enchiladas, lasagna, something that be made a day ahead and then reheated in the oven is good. If there is an old family recipe of something favorite this is nice too. Or you can do a cold meat platter or mini subs. These are easy and quick. Veggies and dip or chips & salsa are nice for munchies. And if you are craving anything crazy be sure to have some of that on hand for everyone to sample. Its good for a laugh. When I was pregnant I craved frozen chocolate pie with bacon bits on top. We served it at my shower and everyone was grossed out but we laughed so hard I went into labor and had my baby 2 weeks early the next day.

Well I had a pregnancy Punch which was Sherbert mixed with Ginger ale, Meatballs, Wing dings, Mac and cheese and string beans I tried to go for all finger foods , You son't really have to each much when you at a Baby shower and then you can also have your cake and what you choose as a desert. Have fun!

Anything small and finger foods are always good, as well as a cute cake!! Remember, it's a baby shower, not a seven-course meal. Also, make sure to have plenty of different kinds of drinks to offer your guests, as well as a good punch. Nothing says shower like a good flavored punch!!

,How about a gender theme. If you are having a boy, serve hot dogs, chips , wings, like at a Superbowl party. If you are having a girl do a tea party theme: finger sandwiches, petite fours, veggies. Or all baby size foods little smokies, baby carrots mini Ritz or cookies etc.

At my baby shower I had tons of chips and soda, candy filled decorations and them vegetable trays are good to have. It depends on how big of a party your going for.

Where is the shower taking place?

Stuffed cabbages, chicken, casseroles, cake, chicken marsela, veggie sides. Call around for catering.
