They are everywhere in the livingroom and tv room. No one eats in those rooms and no food is left lying around. Why are they there and how do I get rid of them?

Get some stuff called Terro Ant Killer. You can get it at hardware stores and some grocery stores. While it works great- it is poisonous to humans and pets. It comes in a thick liquid form and you put a drop on a small piece of cardboard and put it out of reach of pets and children- like between the stove and cabinets.
It's better than covering everything in the house and putting out all the pilot lights which is what you have to do if you use a bug bomb.
This stuff will end your ant problem quickly and efficiently and with very little mess to clean up.
Hope this helps and have a great day!!!

In your sugarbowl?!! Yuck!

Umm... I heard on the news that ants are coming into people's home beacuse of the moisture in the walls and floorboards. I suggest you call an exterminator and get some Raid in the meantime.

Maybe they just think you're sweet....awwww

Bug bomb, spray any more you see after that, spray an ant poison around the outside of your house, lay a line of salt at entrances (they won't cross).

I heard that chrysanthemums are a good ant deterrent. Also, moth crystals. I haven't tried either but I was told they work great.
