I've seen motorcycle and cars with flashing third brake light, when you step on the brakes, it flashes 5 times then it stays on until you release the brakes. Is there a swich or relay out there you could install easily? Where I could get them? THANKS!

I looked in the C.V.C. book and confirmed that it is legal for the third brake light to flash 5 times before it becomes steady. It's becoming common on police motorcycles When I say flash, I refer to a rate of a normal signal light, maybe a little faster; so it definitely not a strobe. Thanks for the answers!

As yet, there is nothing aftermarket, but may be soon.
If you want such a device, go to your nearest electronics parts/components store and purchase the parts to make one. The parts for it couldn't cost more than about $10.00, and the time required less than a half hour. Then install it in the housing of the rear light.
Be prepared, though, for an equipment violation. the local constabulary as well as DOT frown on lighting modifications of this nature.
It is really a good idea, but many a good idea have been squashed by the "Rules".
