the possibilities of reprisal against the young thug are limitless. but i suppose you are looking for a real world solution. you say you built a barn. how about a rotweiler to sleep in it? how about those fake surveillance cameras? or real ones for that matter? if everyone in the neighborhood knows this kid, maybe a neighborhood watch of sorts. also put up those "this area is protected by..."
signs on all sides of the barn.
if none of the methods work, maybe just a good old fashioned *** whuppin might cure the problem.

Chains and locks and a good insurance policy!
Also motion sensor lights.
We have a friend that had the same problem is a very rural town.
He ended up building a garage to put them in with a security system.
You really shouldn't have to do all that but it's unfortunately the world we live in these days.

Keep them all locked up. Chain them all together. Put a big light out there by the barn and leave it on. Put a sign on the door that says Security Camera in use.

Depends on where you live. Where I live, the use of deadly force is allowed. Everyone around here has a firearm of one sort of another. They know that they are taking a big chance if they try to burgalize. Not much crime around here. Other than that, keep your barn locked and your insurance up to date. Keeping your possessions safe is your responsibility. If you know who the thief is, drop a dime on him with the sheriff.

Make sure you keep them locked up. If you know who the boy is, I would tell him that if you ever catch him stealing anything from anyone, he would wish he never did. Get insurance on your vehicles. Good luck and have fun. Keep all four wheels on the ground.......

1st, make sure you have replacement coverage on your insurance policy.

2nd, I would leave the keys for the oldest 4-wheelers hanging in plain sight. Let the punk steal it -- wreck it.

3rd, call the insurance company -- very distraught and heartbroken over your terrible loss.

4th, buy new 4-wheeler with insurance check.

Repeate as needed.

if you know for sure that he is a thief, you should report him. Keep your 4 wheelers and bike locked up at all times. We own a car lot and these are very tempting for a thief!

Inform him, kindly, that if anything happens to your vehicles then you and your mates are coming to look for him no matter who touched or damaged them.
Also make sure you have enough insurance.
