Excel Formula with Dates?

Question

How do I create a formula in excel that if October 1, 2006 is between April 1, 2006 and April 1, 2007 then select this field. Please note that the above dates will be entered into cells.

Where A1 = 4/1/2006 and B1 = 4/1/2007 and C1 = 10/1/2006

TRUE = enter your cell or string you want to have here

FALSE = a blank, ""
