Lack of fluids. Drink alot more fluids when you are on your period. You auto matically retain fluid so many woman choose subconciously to lower their intake. Thus depriving their body of the replacement fluid they need from the blood loss. Try it next month the five days before your period start drinking enough water(preferably) to where you are drinking at least 72oz a day. The week of your period increase it to 80 oz. and after your period do 80 oz. for about 4 more days. You will feel totally different during your period and after. Youalso won't have alot of weight gain.

Hormone fluctuations. Drink more water and take a laxative to flush your system out. I'm not sure of why this helps, but it does. Your period can dehydrate you, but it can also throw your whole chemical balance off. Take a couple of spoonfuls of Metamucil every day during the week of your period and drink lots and lots of water. Maybe swig a little Gatorade too. This will rehydrate you and clean you out.

You could have head cold if you spit brownish mucus it's a sigh and you could put Vicks light on your forehead and your "mould of you head" "soft spot" ans limo col or bay-rum. Wet your head towel dry and stay away from heat product such as curling iron for a while and alcohol it can raise the tension headaches. See a doctor if it continues

a lot of times when I am sitting on MY pyramid (lol) i get headaches because i forget to drink as much water as usual. i get cravings and eat whatever i feel like--which usually means more cups of coffee and less water for sure--and that usually does it for me. mild dehydration will give you headaches.
try any or all of these three things, but preferably all. a few days before your "visitor" start taking a daily vitamin E and daily calcium supplement, and when your visitor comes, drink equal or more water than you usually do. good luck, i hate that stupid pyramid!

I get them too, like clockwork. It's caused by a high fluctuation in your hormone levels. Take an Excedrin or other migraine med and lay in the dark for a while. But, you should probably get used to them. It's probably going to happen every period. :(

Sounds hormonal to me, are you on the pill? Look into maybe getting on if not. Even if there's no need. Birth control pills can help regulate hormone balances. And if you are on the pill already, maybe talk to your Dr. about switching

My wife suffers from the SAME PROBLEM, and her OB/GYN wasn't much help. She found that if she drinks soy milk right around the end of her period and exercises, she does much better.
