How do you pronounce the name 'Celeste'? My sister is considering naming her baby this. Are there any middle names it goes well with.
Sorry about putting it here. I'm new and I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it.

Cza-lest.
I'm not sure how to type the first syllable, but I would not pronounce the L until the second syllable at all.
I think it is a very pretty name and I would try to pick a middle name that is special for your family in some way. Do any of the grandmothers or great grandmothers have nice names? I love old fashioned names like Evelyn.

celeste = seh lest , with the emphasis on lest
a French name
would need to know the last name to know what would go well.
Generally, a two syllable name goes well with a one or three syllable name following it, but this is French, so all bets are off.
You may want to avoid a name that starts with a vowel sound if it is to follow a name that ends with a consonant sound, so as not to run the two names together.
I like Celeste Marie.
Celeste Imogen, for example, doesn't work because the two words become one.

Cell est is how I would pronounce it, it is difficult choosing a middle name it would have to be short so that it doesn't detract from the first name such as Ann or Jo. It is a lovely name though, I have three children and I found naming them quite difficult because their father had other ideas. Good Luck with the forthcoming blessing.
