If you are not looking for a commitment or marriage, you need to tell her. If this is something she is working towards, she has the right to know. If you are considering marriage in the future, but not at this time, tell her. Again, she has the right to know. Don't make false hopes or later she would resent you and feel like she had wasted all of her time.

Well before I got married… I found a really helpful book called “Don't You Dare Get Married Until You Read This! The Book of Questions for Couples” it helped us to talk about we talked about a lot things we never considered – thing that could have and found that well a big problem…

You could get her a promise ring instead – if you like still in you teens… a promise ring a design that has 2 joining hearts heart.. ;)

Well, I've learned from watching it happen to others.. When a woman "pressures" you into making a commitment or especially into getting engaged and married when you're clearly not ready, it will never work! If you are not committed and it's been a reasonable time to expect such, then you need to shape up or ship out. You have to weigh the pro's and con's. Do I want to keep her? Do I want to risk losing her? Or, am i not ready to be a one woman guy. These are things you have to consider because, girlfriends not going to wait forever!

are you ready to commit for Life ?? if not tell her
If she has to "pester" you then it's probally not time for you to make those commitments in your life yet . . . don't rush into anything especially marriage. . . wait until it feels right for both of you. My husband and I dated for 7yrs then lived together for 2 yrs before we married. . .we married for love no other reason. We've been married for 18 years and have 2 children 11 and 8.
I don't just love him . . .I'm "In Love" with him.

I'm wondering how long have you been dating? If you have been for a while then maybe you should think of it just sit down with her and ask her why she wants it so bad and why you don't. Maybe if you get things in the open it won't be such a bother when it is brought up. Just don't rush into anything that you don't want or it will be worth nothing in the long run.

You again. pretending to be your boyfriend? wow you sound pretty desperate to me! you need help.

so you do pester him for a committment/ and a engagement ring?? wow..sounds pretty sad dear. no no....this is not right.

You, the bf should get rid of her. She's too insecure and needy and people like that are miserable in realtionships because they will make your life (the bf) a living hell...run! bf run!

Don't agree to anything until you feel completely sure that this is what you want.
How long have you been with her? Do you truly love her? Can you see yourself married to her or with her for the rest of your life? Are you mentally and emotionally ready to settle down? It doesn't sound to me like you are and you need to tell her that.

It seems your GF is ready to take your relationship to next level. If your not then by all means you should not go there. This leaves you with two possible replies

1. Ask her to be patient. you care about her but are not ready to take the next step and if she can wait who knows.

2. Leave her as you cannot give her what she desires and its unfair to both you to go on

Figure out if you want her around for the rest of your life and either leave or give her a ring or a committment. Girls won't wait around forever.
