Rodriguez is quoted as saying. “He’s making a boatload of money. Giambi’s making ($20.4 million), which is fine and dandy, but it seems those guys get a pass. When people write (bad things) about me, I don’t know if it’s (because) I’m good-looking, I’m biracial, I make the most money, I play on the most popular team.”
That is a self centered jerk!

I think he's actually showing some emotion...I love AROD and think he's the best player to grace the game...But often times it does seem as though he masks his feelings...With the SI interview he's came out and posed the question, why him?? why is he the target when there are so many others out there who do sooo much worse?? And he probably has it exactly right---it is all those factors that affect the way people look at him, fans are drawn to a person of Arod's stature, and he seems to deal with all that pressure extremely well...He was in a bad slump, but he's come out of it and has showed the yanks exactly why he gets all the accolades...he is known to work harder than anyone on the Yankee team, fist guy there, last guy to leave...And bottom line, 95% of things written in magazines are totally scewed, so you cannot ever take what is written in there verbatim...

You can take it one of two ways:
1) He means what he says, exactly as he says it.
2) He just not the best with interviews.
However you want to interpret what he says, don't forget how badly he's sturggled this year, physically and mentally. He would love nothing better than to come through in the playoffs this year, and he's been working hard to get his stroke back and win back the fans. However frustrating it's been with Alex Rodriguez this year, as a Yankee fan, I guarentee that he's had a much tougher time.

once Alex wins a ring, no one will care anymore. Until then, people will make news out of things that happened 2 months ago.

I think he's right in just about everything he said.
I also think Jason Giambi needs to shut his steroid-enhanced mouth and worry about his own game. It seems funny that a guy who'd be nothing without performance enhancers would criticize one of the greatest players of the past 50 years.
As for Mussina, he's smart to keep his mouth shut. Most of what he usually says is garbage, and he's reportedly a real ***.

I think he really needs to be careful with his words. It's not good to be too arrogant remembering what kind of position he's in right now. Or maybe he was just drunk or on crack?

I did not see them but I do know that A-Rod is a nice person who does a lot of good for people in every city he has played in. I think many people are jelious of his natural ability.
