I heard on the news that being a superpower is having the ability to project its military power anywhere on the globe.

The US has been referred to as a "hyper-power", because we can do so virtually unchallenged.

There does not seem to be any other countries that the press considers to be superpowers at the moment.

US is a Superpower but nobody has any idea what China has. It never shows to the other countries it's military strength like the US and British does. So does Russia, who are very quiet. A lot of country has them, the atomic bomb. Among them are US, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Japan, and the latest the Iranians and the North Koreans are trying to develop them. My advise would be just be wary of China and India. Not only that, they also have more than 1 billion people. So Americans out there, go and make more babies.
